It’s rare that a female-helmed comedy includes so much awesome physical humor as well as a star-studded cast, but the upcoming ‘You Again’ has both in spades.
As if Betty White’s hilarious presence weren’t enough, the film, about a young woman who returns home for her brother’s wedding to find he’s marrying her high school nemesis, features Jamie Lee Curtis vs. Sigourney Weaver in a decades-old rivalry and puts the lovable Kristen Bell back on the big screen.
In this exclusive behind-the-scenes clip, you see Bell’s character, Marni, as a nerdy high schooler being tormented by Odette Yustman’s popular cheerleader. Cut to years later, when a now-successful and beautiful Marni returns home to her worst nightmare. Meanwhile, her mother (played by Curtis) is facing Marni’s nemesis’ aunt — her own ex-friend from high school, played by Weaver.
Confused yet? Director Andy Fickman handles all this female talent, on top of Broadway veterans Kristin Chenoweth and the family patriarch played by Victor Garber.
“I think it’s only downhill from here,” Bell says in the clip. “Because now I’ve worked with Betty White.”

Plot: No matter how old you are, you never get over high school. Successful PR pro Marni (Bell) heads home for her older brother’s (Jimmy Wolk) wedding and discovers that he’s marrying her high school arch nemesis (Yustman), who’s conveniently forgotten all the rotten things she did so many years ago. Then the bride’s jet-setting aunt (Weaver) bursts in and Marni’s not-so-jet-setting mom (Curtis) comes face to face with her own high school rival. The claws come out and old wounds are opened in this crazy comedy about what happens when you’re reunited with the one person you’d like to forget.
The new movie is directed by Andy Fickman and is scheduled to hit theaters on September 24th.
